Shangali-la

I am not talking about Shangali-la Hotels in the big cities.
Di Qing is the original Shangali-la. Here the average altitude is 3200M (approx. 10,000 ft). Ultraviolet is 4 times stronger than that at the sea level. Most people live in Di Qing are Tibetan.
Look at the BLUE SKY, isn't it AMAZING?

We visited Pu DaCuo, the first national park in China. Due to the large temperature difference between morning and afternoon, you might want to rent a PLA coat at the entrance of the park, that cost you only $20 RMB ($2.5 USD) a day.

The views were breathtaking!

Can't mention Shangali-la without mention flowers. Unfortunately, we came in mid October when most flowers were gone, left only this one called Long Dan flower.

We had lunch at a local restaurant. The food was decent... Hey, what do you expect?

Back in the town of Di Qing.

4 people can rotate the big golden shrine... Here is the proof!
Second day in Di Qing, we visited Shung San Lin Temple. Does it remind you of Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet? The locals call it " little Potala palace".
You can see the name of the temple with Google Earth, no kidding! http://earth.google.com/
The following is the image captured in Google earth.

It seems young monks were doing a lot of laboring ...
